The Audition Playbook With Resh Lamba
June 23 - July 1
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
This 8-day workshop offers a practical and honest look into the world of on-camera auditions — not through theoretical advice, but through firsthand experience. Led by Resh Lamba, an FTII alumnus and widely recognized for his role as Freddy Rahman in The Night Manager, the sessions are built around the reality of the casting room. Rather than offering rehearsed tips and tricks, the focus here is on what really matters: presence, instinct, and mindset.
This is about preparing actors to walk into auditions with a clearer understanding of the space and a greater trust in their craft.
Over the course of the workshop, you’ll work on demystifying the audition process and understanding what casting directors actually look for. You’ll explore how to stay grounded when scripts change last minute, when pressure hits, or when nerves threaten to take over. The sessions will help you move away from over-preparation and towards being more present and responsive — skills that are especially crucial for auditions on camera.
You’ll also learn how to build a confident presence without forcing anything, learning to show up fully even when things feel uncertain or out of your control.
Resh brings his own personal journey into the room — one built not on shortcuts, but on steady effort and honest preparation. His experience as an FTII alumnus and a respected actor working on projects like City Lights, She: Season 2, Kanuur Squad, and The Night Manager underscores the importance of consistency, growth, and integrity.
Through his guidance, this workshop becomes a grounded, experience-driven space for actors to find clarity and self-trust during one of the most nerve-wracking parts of the profession: the audition.
