In the Moment with Naveen Kaushik
June 23 - July 5

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
This workshop is all about learning how to live truthfully in every scene — particularly in front of the camera. It’s designed to help actors break away from rehearsed performances and instead respond with authenticity and spontaneity, just like in real life.
Whether you’re working with a script or exploring something improvised, the goal is to stay connected to each moment and each emotion as it unfolds. In doing so, you learn to respond honestly, rather than perform artificially.
Improvisation plays a key role in this workshop. It becomes the doorway to emotional truth, spontaneity, and a sense of play — all of which are essential when working on camera. You’ll learn how to handle unpredictability, how to really listen and react to your scene partner, and how to stay emotionally available even in heightened or challenging situations.
Instead of over-rehearsing, the focus shifts to finding fresh reactions and uncovering what’s honest in the moment. All of this culminates in a final performance that reflects the principles explored throughout the workshop, with a live showcase to share your work.
Naveen Kaushik is known for his grounded, naturalistic acting style — first brought to light in Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year, where he earned a Filmfare nomination for Most Promising Newcomer. His career has been marked by performances that feel spontaneous, present, and real — qualities he now helps other actors discover through his coaching.
This workshop brings those same values to life, giving participants the space to explore emotional honesty, improvisation, and the depth that makes on-camera work truly compelling.
